How to ilv poser

Hello everyone! If you're new at using custom poses in Skyrim, this tutorial might be for you.

Basics:

My poser was made on FNIS system of running poses using special rings and spells. They should be automatically added to your character as soon as you activate poser's esp. My poser has the prefix ilv*number of the pose pack*.

There are two types of rings - select and play. You need to run "select" first and then "play" to activate it. Your character will perform this pose.

Tip: add rings to favourites to make this process easier.

If you want to run this pose on an NPC,you use select ring and then go to spells and find a spell with corresponding name.

Don't forget to run fnis tool after adding new poses and before running the game!

As an alternative for ring system, I suggest using poser hotkeys

Important: you will need to generate data for your poser using tool you can find on download page.

But how do I use pair poses?

To get the correct pair pose position, both characters have to stand in the same spot.

Console commands will help you:

tai - toggle artificial intelligence. Without a target it will stop all NPCs activity, using on the one specific NPC will freeze it.

tcl - this will disable collision in the world and between your character, obviously.

As an alternative I suggest this mod,it will disable collision only between player character and current follower.

moveto player - choose desired NPC first. Sometimes you need to repeat this action twice. This will move the NPC to the exact same spot as a player character.

tfc 1 - toggles camera mod and freeze everything in game.Rquired if you turn off game collision, otherwise it will be enabled in the camera mode and ruin all your previous work.

You can adjust pose with tools like NiOPA

setscale *number* - Adjust character's height,where 1 is default.

getpos *x/y/z* - get object position (in global world coordinates)

setpos *x/y/z* *number* - set object position

What about object poses?

There are two ways of adding objects to pose: with and without attachment to the one of skeleton bones,so it will move alongside with it.

Most of my poses are not attached to the bone, this means,if you change anything in your skeleton transforms (height, for example), object will remain the same. Again, NiOPA is your friend. You can move your character instead of an object. Also,I use screenshot pad, which just moves, scales and rotates your character the way you need.

Why didn't I attach objects? It's an easier and faster way to add objects and I'm still learning. Also, sometimes,it's better to keep objects on their own to not distort them with possible deformation.
